How I Work
-
Before strategy or fixes, I need to understand your context…including the history, the people, and the constraints nobody puts in the job description.
-
If your team does something because "we've always done it that way," that's a starting point, not an answer.
-
I believe in walkaround leadership.
For me this means being present and asking questions.
I help your team solve problems, not solve problems for them.
-
When words don't match actions, your best people notice. Some leave. Alignment isn't just ethics—it's retention.
-
Sometimes the best thing a leader can do is create space.
Not everything needs a process.
I’m a first-gen college kid who didn’t get it right the first—or even the second—time. It took three tries to find the place where I finally felt seen, and that experience shaped how I’ve spent the last twenty-plus years in higher education.
Working across private liberal arts, a state university, and the nation’s first publicly funded arts conservatory taught me how campuses work beneath the surface—the pressure points, the drift, and the everyday dynamics that either support or strain a community.
And that’s the work I do today, helping leaders get clear on what’s really happening, rebuild what matters most, and link arms with key partners so the vision can hold for the long haul.
If this feels familiar, reach out and let’s explore whether this kind of support would serve your campus. I look forward to the conversation.
